Genting Highlands

 2D/1N Stay at Gohtong Hall Residence 17-18 Nov 2009

We really want to get away... go for a short trip and just anywhere is fine for us. So the 4 of us, me and hubby together with Ivan and Elva decided to go to Genting Highlands. However, we couldn't book a room at all the Genting's hotels. It is unbelievable since it is neither school holidays nor weekends. So we have no choice but to stay at the Gohtong Hall Residence, which is very cheap at RM50 per night during low season.

Ivan fetched us from our home and have a quick breakfast at the Imbi Market and off to Genting Highlands.

We did not bring our camera on the day, so we did not snap too many photos using Elva's camera.
The room at Gohtong Hall is tidy and clean, equipped with hot water. Well for the price, I have not much complain. Nevertheless, I would not want to return here to stay anymore. This is because their sound proof system for the room is very bad, I could hardly sleep the whole night.

We spent most of our time at the First World Casino. But not too lucky tho'.

Public Mutual Annual Awards Nite 2009

This is my first year attending the AAN (Annual Awards Nite) organised by Public Mutual at Sunway Convention Centre. There are lesser qualifiers this year compared to the previous year. Well, I hope i will qualifiy myself for this dinner yearly from now on. :)

Gor Dai Lai Ceremony

Oh, yes! We still follow the Chinese traditional culture - Gor Dai Lai, around 2 weeks before our actual wedding day. Arrival of groom side with Dowry $$, Cakes, whole of Roast Pig, Jewelery set, 2 bottles of Liquor, oranges and etc. And the bride side has to give in return some oranges, drinks, part of the roast pig and etc. In this modern world, we try to make things simple, therefore a lot of things and procedure are omitted.
After the ceremony, we have lunch. Then my girl friends will follow me to shift my wedding stuff to the groom's house. The things, include jeweleries, new clothes, bed sheet, cosmetic sets, accessories and etc. Actually everything you want to display in your newly-wed room.

The Sun Hunt 2009

Finally the biggest hunt of the year is here!!! The hunt that we've been waiting for.. We were very excited and we registered ourself on the second day. So we managed to register as team no.37, which means we are the 7th team to register. This is because the first 30 nos are reserved for master category.

This is my fifth year of joining The Sun Hunt, third year for Ee Wah, second year for Kok Meng  while Jan Er is the first timer.

On hunt day... 8 NOV 2009... Our driver- Kok Meng, Navigator-Jan Er, Passengers-Ee Wah & me.

Dinner and prize presentation night... at Sime Darby Convention Centre.
Thanks to Jan Er and Ee Wah for arriving early and taking food for us.

 Our Prize... vacuum cleaner for each of us, thanks to Samsung.

We were not too happy with ourselves as we made few careless mistakes. 

However, next year we'll surely be better!!!

Family Dinner at Jun Kee Restaurant @ Taman Midah, Cheras

This restaurant was formerly same row as RHB Bank and Maybank facing Jalan Loke Yew. However, it is now moved to the row at the back, opposite to Public Bank. Very good in business especially during peak hours.

Some of the pre-ordered dishes.

Lobster combination dish, served in 2 styles, cold lobster meat with mixed fruits salad and also deep fried lobster meat roll. Yummy!!

Fish served in 2 styles - deep fried mini fish rolls and steam slices of fish with ham in soy sauce.

Very nice decoration and most important of all, it tastes good!

 Very cute little sweet dessert in shapes of gold fish, pears and oranges.

Hmm...Very satisfying after a good dinner.

My Wedding Photos

Started to learn to collage photos and dig out my wedding photos 3 years ago... Recalling sweet memories, photos shooting at Titiwangsa and mostly in the studio. Hmmm!!The photos were taken at Touch Wedding at Jalan Imbi, which was newly opened at that time. The shop is no more there, moved to Jalan Ipoh, I think.
