Sis Wedding Dinner at KL Tower

14th September 2008 @ KL Tower
'Wedding Made in The Sky'
My younger sister's big night is up high 421m above ground level at Megaview banquet Deck in KL Tower. I being the event co-ordinator and emcee has a busy night too. A lot of preparation to do, we reach there around 4pm to start with make ups and hair-dos. And making sure everything is in order before the 'show' starts. Glad that the event organiser is very helpful and the services are great.
I like this big poster at the entrance to the tower! Announce your wedding to the world! Haha!!
However we have to get it done before hand and they'll hang it up on the wedding day.
The signages and decorations.
The dinner hall, tit-bits and snacks for cocktail party.
Here comes the bride and groom before their grand marching into the hall.
The happy couples.
Photos with familiy and friends.
It's the time to march in accompanying by piano solo - The Wedding March performs live by Yoke Sze.
Second march in while her friends singing live on the stage.
Champagne pouring ceremony and exchanging vows.
Toasting time!
My parents and groom's parents are up on the stage.
A surprise speech by the maid of honour. Very touching moment.
Continue with presentation of slide show.
More singing and self-entertainment towards the end of the dinner.
More group photos at the end of the dinner.

Roast Duck & Char Siew at Restaurant Spring 99 @ Shah Alam

This my second time visiting this restaurant. This shop is famous for their Char Siew. I drop by here when i'm in Shah Alam area. I know that there are not many non-halal and yet good food in Shah Alam. I might be wrong to say this as I don't stay around this area. We discovered this restaurant from our GPS system last year. We come for lunch, ths place is quite empty may be because we visit this place during odd hours. It might be packed during peak times, I guess so, since the food is quite good.
We ordered a 3 combinations dish, roast duck, charsiew and roast pork, in medium serving @ RM28 for the 3 of us. And also a plate of bean sprout. My husband commented their Char Siew tasted better during our first visit. I suggest that Char Siew is the MUST TRY when u come here!

Address: 3, Jalan Peniaga U1/35,
Hicom Industrial Park,
Glenmarie, 40150 Shah Alam, Selangor.
For more information on the map and menus, visit their website www.Spring99.com

My Ratings (out of 10):
Food and Drinks: 8 (The Char Siew is highly recommended with the fragrant rice, overall above average)
Ambience: 6 (Air-conditioned and clean but I don't like the wooden stool, not too comfortable)
Service: 6 (It's table serving)
Price: 8 (Average Spending RM8-RM14 per pax)

Western Food at Bayou @ Alamanda Putrajaya

It is our second visit to this restaurant at Alamanda Shopping Centre, located at Lot G88, next to Starbucks. Other than western food, they also serve Italian food eg. pizza and pasta.

I ordered Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast served with mashed potato and salad (RM18.00), the meat is not too tasty, gotta dip with chilli sauce or the tomato basil sauce. I like the food deco tho'.
And Crispy Chicken Burger served with chips (RM14.00), this is delicious!

My Ratings (out of 10):
Food and Drinks: 6 (The food tasted so-so, the burger is ok but not the stuffed chicken breast)
Ambience: 7 (Air-conditioned, nice deco, clean and comfortable sofa bench with small cushion)
Service: 8 (Good)
Price: 8 (Consider cheap at shopping mall serving western meals. Average Spending RM20-RM35 per pax)

Western Food at Restoran Chop & Steak, Seri Kembangan

This western food restaurant located in Serdang Jaya, facing the roundabout. Just 2 minutes aways from Serdang Police Station and 5 minutes away from South City Shopping Centre. It opens since March 2008. I had been always wanted to visit this every time I passed by. The restaurant has very good business, most of the visitors are Malays. The overall design is also more towards traditional Malay design. The inside is quite stuffy, so we decided to sit outside, it was quite windy.
Although the restaurant is packed, they served the food quite fast. The juices are cheap, at only RM2.50 per mug. I ordered a honey dew juice, a Grill Chicken served with baked potato, baked beans & coleslaw (RM9.90) and Chicken Gordon Bleu served with fries and coleslaw (RM10.90). We have no complain for the price, it is quite filling. But the taste is just so-so, not too good but also not too bad. Before you leave, don't forget to take the order chit and pay at the cashier.

My Ratings (out of 10):
Food and Drinks: 5 (The serving is big, quite filling, do not expect too high for the taste, juices in big mug only at RM2.50)
Ambience: 6 (Open air, stuffy inside, nice traditional-styled decoration)
Service: 7 (It's table serving, fast in taking order and serving the food)
Price: 9 (Cheap for western food. Average Spending RM12-RM20 per pax)

Hokkien Fried Mee at Keong Kee, Taipan USJ

Right after the Italian food at Pizza Uno, we wanted to have some "Tong Yuen" as dessert. So we went to the Kopitiam also at Taipan to search for the Tong Yuen from Port Klang. But to our disappointment, the stall is no long there. So I ended up recommend them the Hokkien Fried Mee. Since we have no more room for food, we just ordered a single serving, costs RM6 for everyone to try. I like the mee here, but my mum in law prefers the one in Puchong (next to Tesco).
The Ice Kacang looks delicious too!

My Ratings (out of 10):
Food: 7 (I like the Hokkien mee, but not the fried kuey teoww, too oily)
Price: 8 (Average Spending RM5-RM7per pax)

Italian Food at Pizza Uno, Taipan USJ

It has been few years since we last visit to Pizza Uno at Taipan, USJ 10. And now there is a new outlet in Bandar Puteri Puchong, which is nearer to me. I was impressed that now they have moved to the row at the back and renovated to a 3 storeys restaurant.
Thanks to Ida for the photo shooting and our cousin sister, SY for treating us the dinner.

And here comes the food.. Yummy!! Yummy!!
My Ice Chocolate top with vanilla ice cream RM11, Cream of Mushroom RM9 and Garlic Bread (on the house, because they forgot about our fish & fries).

Our main course... Napolitana RM14 (Spaghetti in Traditional tomato sauce with herbs , vegetables and parmesan cheese), Marinara RM30 (Spaghetti & Seafood with tomato sauce)Carbornara RM24 (Fettucine in Lightly fried beef bacon and onion in a creamy sauce), Garden Salad RM8 and Margherita Pizza RM16? (Pizza in Tomato sauce, cheese , oregano and basil). Oh! And our Fish and Fries... we waited too long and were too hungry. So Ida forgot to snap a photo of it. Haha!!
Overall, thumbs up for the meal.
However, I think their servings are a bit small, just right for small eater like me.

My Ratings (out of 10):
Food and Drinks: 9 (2 thumbs up for the pizzas and pastas, the fish and chips is good too!)
Ambience: 8 (Air-conditioned and clean, very comfortable, nice deco and lightings)
Service: 7 (It's table serving, however they left out 1 of our orders)
Price: 7  (The price is average for Italian food, but serving is small, average spending RM30 and above per pax)
